***This position requires an active Secret clearance.*** Join our team as a Computer Operations Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of IT operations within a government entity. As a Computer Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Accountable Property Officer (APO) and Equipment Control Officer (ECO) to support their responsibilities. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Computer Operations Manager: $50,000 - $60,000 Pay commensurate with experience. Computer Operations Manager Responsibilities Include:
Provide primary and alternate PC support to the ECO. Perform ECO duties under the terms of this contract. Process the receipt, transfer, and disposal of all IT assets and complete necessary documentation to establish custodial responsibility. Direct PCs to conduct inventories, provide labels (as needed), complete training requirements, provide inventory assistance, and ensure serviceable spares for desktops and laptops do not exceed 5% of the total inventory as assigned. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the IT inventory by inputting and/or transferring computer equipment items in the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) within two workdays of receipt. Provide accountability for all assigned IT hardware assets within their respective property custodian accounts. Perform at least an annual inventory of all assets under their purview. Ensure all accountable assets have labels generated with IUID or equivalent, including part number and serial number, prior to being placed in service. Notify ECO of all shipments (incoming and outgoing), transfers, donations, or turn-ins of excess assets. Initiate ROS's immediately upon determination that an asset is missing, damaged, or destroyed. Coordinate all IT PC equipment requests, moves, and changes. Manage, track, and label various IT assets, including laptops, desktops, printers, monitors, servers, tablets, smartphones, external hard drives, thin clients, routers, switches, etc. Ensure hard drives are removed from assets prior to turn-in to DLADS and must contact ISSO or wing IA to obtain sanitization procedures for hard drives. Ensure all IT equipment under a PC's account is properly signed and accounted for. Transport IT equipment items between local AFIMSC worksites, storage locations, and Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services (DLADS) as required. Ensure stock levels are reported to management and the Primary ECO on a weekly basis. Maintain orderly equipment storage locations. Support ECO/PC with periodic inventories as well as IT equipment disposition and operate Government vehicles to transport IT equipment between work and storage locations as required. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Computer Operations Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
High School Graduate and 3 years' of experience in Air Force IT Asset Management. Contractor shall possess an active favorable Secret clearance. Knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and smartphones. Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
