SUMMARY

The Product Development Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating new product development and product improvement initiatives across the organization. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple cross-functional teams and external partners. The Project Manager ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the company's strategic, product, and cost objectives. The Project Manager's primary function is to coordinate and be the central point of contact for all necessary internal cross-functional groups and external vendor activities to bring a project from concept to completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Lead the coordination and execution of assigned project plans, ensuring each phase is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Schedule and facilitate recurring project meetings with cross-functional team members designated by functional leaders.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, providing timely updates and status reports to stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages open communication and creative problem-solving.
  • Support the coordination and execution of projects involving external contract manufacturers, as assigned, working closely with relevant internal departments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not require supervisor responsibilities, however, must be able to effectively work with multi-functional teams in the organization who participate in project work by indirect reporting relationships. Responsibilities may include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising project team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but demonstrated experience in other industries will be considered.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification desired

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support project execution
