DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION: Assess all revenue cycle informatics touchpoints across inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory settings to develop system-wide strategies, training programs, and localized interventions that optimize financial data integrity and user adoption. Create a comprehensive roadmap for a revenue cycle informatics strategy encompassing charge capture, clinical documentation improvement, electronic medical record (EMR) optimization, data standardization, and alignment with regulatory and reimbursement requirements. Lead organizational transformation in the use of clinical and financial systems by ensuring that informatics tools integrate data, workflows, and knowledge to enhance both clinical efficiency and financial performance. Lead multidisciplinary teams - including financial clearance, coding, Health Information Management, and billing - to drive consensus, and prioritize enhancements to informatics systems that impact the revenue cycle. Create a clear and consistent feedback process to ensure revenue cycle teams receive timely, accurate, and useful data. Share input from system users with technical teams to help guide ongoing system improvements. Ensure alignment between revenue informatics initiatives organizational strategic goals, including improved reimbursement accuracy, regulatory compliance, and patient financial experience. Accountable for achieving annual and long-term goals across quality, service, financial performance, staff engagement, and project outcomes for assigned informatics initiatives. Oversee the development, coordination, and maintenance of daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of coverage. Direct the implementation and oversight of MU Health System time and attendance policies and practices. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a related field of study. Master's degree in a health-related field or relevant area of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired. Eight (8) years of management experience, including five (5) years of active revenue cycle operations and hospital experience. Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle informatics. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in an academic-based, multi-hospital system, and knowledge of a variety of EMR's is preferred. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
