Knife River has an excellent opportunity for an Office Manager in Stockton, CA.

The Office Manager will be responsible for the activities and operations of office services, including maintaining the phone system, purchase, and maintenance of office equipment, coordinating mail service as well as building and grounds matters, providing support to operating companies regarding the corporate credit card program, administration of the Docusphere and related electronic capturing software, and assistance and guidance in other office services areas.

Minimum Requirements



  • Associate's degree or or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of office functions, Microsoft Office, and Electronic Document Managment Systems.
  • Exemplary filing and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize, perform, and delegate work by oneself and to others in an effective and appropriate manner (manager/supervise office staff)


Preferred Requirements



  • Experience with JDE Software


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Administer the corporate credit card program including setting up users for operating companies. Assist in the maintenance, development, enhancement, and implementation of related corporate credit card functionality including reporting, imaging, research, problem resolution and other applications.
  • Administer and implement Docusphere EDMS software for the corporate office and operating companies, set up new users and assign security as requested. Develop and implement directed changes to the AP workflow and test new software updates while assisting employees with training and user issues. Address outstanding issues and proposed enhancements with the corporate office and operating companies.
  • Process purchase orders for the corporate office as requested.
  • Coordinate the office phone system, cell phones and wireless devices in coordination with corporate, as directed. Review phone bills prior to payment to ensure correctness and accuracy of invoices, including applicable corporate discounts and most economical plans are being used.
  • Coordinate KRC buildings and grounds issues to ensure all are being addressed. Prepare the annual budget for buildings and grounds operating expenses and capital budget expenditures.
  • Coordinate the inter-office and external mail services for the corporate office.
  • Assist in coordination of document retention, scanning, and records management, as directed.
  • Handle high volumes of work under time constraints, which may require extended work hours.
  • Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and proficient math skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and critical thinking skills when dealing with employees and the public.
  • Ability to work with and assist employees.
  • Able to work independently and under time constraints.
