Description

Under the direction of the Senior Project Manager, the CEI Contract Administrator II is responsible for the accurate maintenance of client contracts and files to encompass state and federal requirements and company specific documentation. Mentors and trains CEI Contract Administrator I.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Assembles accurate quantities for monthly progress payments for Transportation projects
  • Receives and verifies Contractor's payroll for conformance to state wage rates as defined in a
    given contract
  • Processes materials, test records, certifications needed for construction items
  • Processes and reconciles Contractor's monthly progress payments for owners
  • Reviews and audits compliance requirements for contracts in the beginning phase of a project
  • Records minutes during construction progress meetings
  • Prepares and distributes work orders, preconstruction notices/minutes, starting notices, construction progress meeting minutes, monthly construction reports, and completion notices
  • Mentors and trains Contract Administrator I
  • Creates and maintains Transportation project files as needed
  • Copies and binds Transportation specifications as needed
  • Performs any other duties or responsibilities as assigned


KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE



  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Basic knowledge of clerical responsibilities
  • General knowledge of and understanding of AASHTO Site Manager
  • General knowledge of construction practices and methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of accounting

  • Detail-Oriented - ability to achieve accuracy and thoroughness when accomplishing a task; pays attention to details and is able to understand the cause of a certain outcome
  • Judgement and Decision-Making Skills - ability to make reasoned judgments that are logical and well thought out; constructively questioning and analyzing information in order to make the best conclusion


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience
  • Possession of a valid state issued Driver's License and required auto insurance

  • Frequently/extensively use a computer for several hours at a time
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets

  • Occasionally be able to lift file boxes of up to 30 pounds

  • Indoors in a normal office environment with some exposure to excessive noise, darkness/poor lighting, fumes, or dust
