Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist

The Opportunity:

When the Navy acquires a new system, they expect it to be mature, reliable, and deliver specified functionality. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful systems-and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, an experienced quality assurance analyst who knows how to thoroughly test and verify systems and ensure that our team releases the best system possible.

As a quality assurance expert, you'll work with manufacturing engineers, testers, and design engineers on a team that evaluates developed systems forthe U.S. Navy and national defense. You'll observe and verify the conduct of in-factory critical item tests (CIT), design verification tests (DVT), and factory acceptance tests (FAT).As part of your assessment, you'll identity failure modes and document root cause analyses results and summarize for non-technical leadership.

In run-up to tests, you will assess test plans and procedures for viability in verifying necessary technical and functional requirements.On commercial manufacturing floors, you will assess manufacturing processes for efficiency and efficacy by means of documentation reviews and in-person observations, as well as track and report on quality issues, including non-conforming materials and incident reports affecting operations of products in manufacture or in sustainment.

You'll expand upon your experience in various types of testing, including multiple engineering disciplines and test regimes. You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience working in an engineering discipline

  • 4+ years of experience applying quality assurance or practical test and evaluation to hardware systems

  • Ability to work onsite in Greensboro, NC and Fayetteville, NC

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Research Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Master's degree in an Engineering field

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
