Position Title: Plant Production Engineer

Plant Production Engineer Responsibilities: - Assist operators in troubleshooting and correcting process and quality issues - Work as part of engineering team to support maintenance with troubleshooting and technical analysis of existing operations - Monitor and analyze product quality trends and take corrective action - Monitor process metric data vs. standard for accuracy and take corrective actions as needed - Monitor downtime, line speeds and scrap rate, analyzing root causes - Run plant trials - Purchase routine technical supplies and parts needed for production - Maintain training documentation for plant operations - Assist in training and coaching of operators and mechanics - Validate incoming raw material quality via melt index and DSC results - Manage quality system for UL and NSF compliance - Conduct quality complaint investigations and update CAR's - Support off-shift operations issues - Back-up Plant Manager as needed Requirements for Plant Production Engineer: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology - Thorough, hands-on proficiency with industrial equipment and control systems - Good working knowledge of statistical process control techniques - Able to prioritize and execute multiple projects at one time - Follow through with a quality mindset - Able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing - Able to troubleshoot independently, consider known facts and reach a logical conclusion to solve problems - Intermediate knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Outlook, Excel) - Passion for continuous improvement and curious about why things work the way they work - Able to lift up to 50lbs | |
