The Foreman Automation is responsible for leading and coordinating a team of automation specialists, ensuring secure and cost-effective installation and maintenance of automation and communication equipment in oil and gas production. The role involves optimizing operating expenses, collaborating with cross-functional teams for efficient project completion, and providing training in automation systems. The role includes establishing processes for issue resolution, emphasizing safety and ethical behavior, and maintaining safeguards on control systems for operational safety. The role also ensures regulatory compliance, mentors staff, and contributes to employee development and operational excellence. * Leads and coordinates a team of automation specialists, ensuring the secure, cost-effective installation and maintenance of automation and communication equipment in oil and gas production for base production. * Optimizes operating expenses, monitoring and controlling costs related to automation projects, ensuring budget efficiency and resource optimization. * Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Facilities Engineers and Contractors, to introduce, define, and complete projects efficiently. * Trains teams in device creation, logic testing, and troubleshooting of field devices, enhancing their capabilities in automation systems. * Establishes processes for issue resolution, introduces hardware and software solutions, and supports system operators in utilizing the Process Control System effectively. * Demonstrates unwavering commitment to safety and ethical behavior, with the authority to stop work in unsafe conditions, fostering a culture of safety within the team. * Collaborates with operations staff to troubleshoot process issues, automation configurations, and graphical interface modifications, ensuring seamless operations. * Maintains safeguards on control systems as a layer of protection against inherent process risks, contributing to overall operational safety. * Ensures regulatory compliance in field operations, maintains a safe and ethical work environment, and mentors, trains, and develops staff to achieve operational excellence. * Guides and mentors the automation specialists, actively contributing to employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and overseeing operational processes. Education: * High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education and/or commensurate work experience is required. Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering or any other related discipline is preferred. Experience: * 6+ years of relevant experience with 1-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Oilfield Automation, Instrumentation, Production Operations, Process Control Device Integration or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
