The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: The Peer Support Staff in the IOC program engages with patients to support their continued mental health treatment while under a court order to comply. The incumbent uses their own lived experience to engage with clients in a way that is different from other professional staff. Specifically, the Peer provides transportation to and from appointments; meets with clients individually to provide support and encouragement; makes phone calls to patients; and serves as a support to the other staff. Sometimes that support takes the form of accompanying them to a patient's home, especially when two staff members are needed for safety. Other times, that support takes the form of consulting and brainstorming alternative approaches to better engage the patient. The Peer is also responsible for ensuring that the department's vehicles are taken for regular maintenance, inspection, etc. Qualifications: Required:
