Energy Service Technician (Energy & Propane Service)

Location - Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, and Western Kentucky

Hiring Managers - Dexter Location Manager

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the direction of Dexter location manager, responsible for service-related items of refined fuels, propane and lubricants in a manner that is safe, efficient, and timely in territory stated and would also deliver Energy products during busier times.

Accomplishes the training required to gain the knowledge and skill to perform propane system installations in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

Energy Service Technician may be required to work within various tasks related to Energy.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs service-related propane and refined fuel installation and repairs.

Replaces outdated propane regulators at customers' homes or business.

Drives trucks to deliver Propane & Refined fuel to customers' homes or places of business as needed.

Deliver lubricants to customers' homes or places of business.

Prepare service order forms and receive in all parts.

Handles service complaints promptly.

Obtains customer signatures on all service-related items, leases, and leak checks.

Completes regular activity reports

Responsible for service income increases for all energy and propane service items.

Maintains company equipment according to company standards and performs routine maintenance on the equipment.

Adheres to the uniform policy and maintains the appropriate professional image.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer experience with route delivery and sales experience to demonstrate organization and time management skills.

Understanding of energy products along with sales ability, account collection, record keeping, and reporting.

Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Proven professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills.

Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated math skills and the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,

percentage, area, circumference, volume, etc.

Ability to operate the computer using ticket making software.

Demonstrated core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid CDL (Commercial Driver s License) license with tanker and hazmat, be insurable to operate the required vehicle, and can travel independently.

Must pass a pre-hire drug and alcohol test and enroll in a company random drug and alcohol testing program.

Must attend CETP (Certified Employee Training Program) training courses and achieve a passing score.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
