Your Role on Our Team

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures and perform preventive maintenance while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Lead junior team members in repairs.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities

  • Maintaining large dies by welding, machining, grinding, and other shop processes
  • Disassembly and assembly of dies while performing routine preventive maintenance
  • Perform emergency repairs on dies inside the press
  • Perform daily activities for improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, Time, and Sustainability
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Troubleshoot die concerns to identify the root cause and implement sound countermeasures
  • Work with metric dimensioning
  • Requires little technical direction. Ability to interpret technical issues.
  • Assists teammates with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within their level of expertise.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of injection mold manufacturing from design through assembly inclusive of, but not limited to the following.
  • Materials selection, Polishing, Fitting, Assembly, Blueprint reading, and Heat treating.

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of tool and die experience or die maintenance experience
  • Completion of a tool-and-die apprenticeship or
  • Associates degree from a vocational school in Machine Tool Technology
  • Must be proficient with machine shop tools (ex. Lathes, Mills, Surface grinders etc.)
  • Must be proficient with the following welding processes: TIG
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent analytical, written, and verbal skills
  • Proficient mathematical skills and troubleshooting skills
  • Team oriented with good personal skills and the ability to contribute to a safe work environment
