Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering, SMTS in San Francisco, CA: Job Duties: Build scalable, elastic services, capable of running in private Salesforce data centers and in public clouds. Design and develop high-quality code to improve platform reliability, availability, and scalability. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Design, implement and tune robust APIs and API framework-related features that perform and scale in a multi-tenant environment. Build efficient components/algorithms to serve high volume of requests with low latencies. Handle large data sets in the cloud. Design and implement intelligent and thorough testing strategies to ensure quality delivery. Automate operational tasks to allow us to operate services at world-scale. Continuously integrate and deploy your code, monitor it in the live service and learn through data-driven feedback loops on how to improve it. Participate in the team's on-call rotation to address complex problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available. *HQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Part-time telecommuting is an option. Hybrid work from Salesforce offices in San Francisco, CA. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field of study, and three (3) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field OR Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field of study, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field. A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)). Special Skill Requirements: (1) Development experience with Object Oriented Programming Languages; (2) Public cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure); (3) Deep understanding of Public Cloud Networking Concepts and Network Security Principles; (4) Agile Development Methodology; (5) Test-Driven Development; (6) Code review; (7) Experience in all phases of SDLC; (8) CI/CD Pipelines; (9) Development of Microservices on Containerization Frameworks such as Kubernetes and Docker; (10) Proficient writing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform; (11) Extensive experience with Domain Name System (DNS) and integrated supporting services/infrastructures including, Kubernetes based DNS CRUD sidecars and name resolution processes.
