What You Will Do

  • Lead all 1st shift operations related to shipping and receiving inventory, ensuring accurate records, proper inventory control, and timely order fulfillment
  • Set performance standards and targets for your team and designated areas
  • Identify and implement process improvements in shipping, receiving, and quality to boost efficiency
  • Coordinate outbound carrier schedules and appointments to meet delivery timelines
  • Ensure outbound shipments meet customer compliance requirements
  • Provide performance reports and analysis, and recommend improvements to your manager
  • Oversee administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory
  • Support and execute safety, security, and facility maintenance programs
  • Maximize the use of warehouse management systems to improve labor efficiency and meet service goals
  • Recommend system enhancements for continuous improvement
  • Ensure team training and compliance with ISO 9001-2000 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) standards
  • Participate in third-party audits
  • Hire, motivate, evaluate, and develop team members
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to your team
  • Advise management on personnel matters and escalate issues when needed
  • Work within budgetary guidelines and assist in developing and reconciling annual budgets
  • Create and maintain written departmental standards and procedures

What You Will Bring

  • Proven experience managing and developing leaders at the Supervisor level or higher
  • A track record of successfully leading and implementing process improvements
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights to improve operational efficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success in driving safety, quality, and compliance initiatives
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or similar process improvement training (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred)

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $80,000 and $93,000/yr. Please note that this position's salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
