Position title: Assistant Controller Position Overview: Our client, an established and financially strong organization is currently looking to add a talented Assistant Controller to its Finance department. This role offers a compelling opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team and play a vital role in the company's accounting and financial reporting functions. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the monthly financial close process by preparing and reviewing relevant entries and reports. Handle journal entries and account reconciliations with accuracy and consistency. Support annual audit preparation and coordinate with auditors to ensure a smooth process. Help improve and streamline accounts payable, receivable, and vendor management workflows. Assist in assembling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for both internal leadership and external partners. Collaborate across departments to provide analytical support and actionable financial insights to leadership teams. Contribute to the development of metrics for tracking accounts receivable and payable. Ensure accounting procedures remain compliant with applicable regulations and industry standards. Reinforce internal controls and support company policies in line with accounting best practices. Participate in ad hoc projects and provide financial insights as needed. Candidate Profile CPA designation or active pursuit of certification is strongly preferred. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks, Salesforce, and the broader Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.
