Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Configuration Management Coordinator Level I. Reporting to the site Configuration Manager, you will have a hybrid work schedule in Torrance, CA.

Configuration Management (CM) is the processes, techniques, and supporting tools that help us to make sure that our products are as they should be and conform to our own and our customers' requirements. Our CM processes help Moog ensure that all information or data necessary to manage our configured items is kept current and accurate, are properly structured for our customers' needs, and available to all who need to know. It's about knowing what we did yesterday, what we are doing today, and what we will be doing in the future, as well as understanding the reasoning and authority behind every action/change that got us there.

As a Configuration Management Coordinator, you will:

  • Be responsible for the organization, tracking and management of customer data submittals for assigned programs.

  • Assist in processing and incorporating Engineering Change Notices (ECN)s and releases through Moog's change management systems.

  • Prepare and submit Customer Data Items to ensure contract requirements are met.

  • Determine data requirements for programs, including regular interaction with program teams to support ongoing submittal activities.

  • Apply knowledge of Moog's ERP system and Moog Teamcenter PLM software.

To be considered for the Configuration Management Coordinator role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree is desirable, equivalency would include an Associate's degree in a support role or 2 years of experience in a Configuration Management support role

  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications

  • Working knowledge of Siemens NX / Teamcenter and/or Subversion software, or other document/revision control software.

  • Knowledge of ERP system MBS or SAP

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Other desirable skills/experience:

  • Methodical approach to work and a keen eye for detail

  • Strong IT skills and an ability to organize and analyze data

  • Strong communications skills and the ability to understand complex instructions and explain complex ideas to technical people

  • Strong and assertive approach to decision making and a focus on 'getting it right'

  • Knowledge of Configuration Management standards example EIA-649 or MIL-HBDK-61 would be preferred

  • Motivated, customer driven, and deal effectively with internal and external customers

  • Possess excellent organizational skills and communication skills, both oral and written

  • Adaptable to new situations and problems within the business in support of customer requirements

  • Able to act on own initiative and be self-driven, organized, with minimal supervision

Salary Range Transparency:

Torrance, CA $28.00-$33.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
