Job Title: Power Trucker
Department: Various
Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Labor Grade: 4 ($23.95 - $26.27)

Summary

Safely operates internal combustion or electric-powered forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the manufacturing facility. Ensures accurate material handling, inventory updates in SAP, and adherence to all safety and environmental standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned)



  • Operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and stack materials or products, following all safety guidelines.
  • Stack or stage materials in designated areas, maintaining stability and safe load height.
  • Supply production and work areas with required materials in a timely manner.
  • Accurately enter and remove materials from the SAP inventory system as they are handled.
  • Inspect forklifts before use and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Assist with general material handling and organization to lead and maintain 5S workplace standards.
  • Follow all facility safety protocols, environmental requirements, and PPE guidelines.



Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) exam or hold a current valid certification.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar inventory management software.
  • Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle License required.

Physical Demands



  • Regularly required to use hands for handling or feeling objects, and to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.



Work Environment



  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and potential welding radiation.
  • Noise level is typically loud.
  • PPE required: safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, and welding PPE when exposed to welding operations.
