Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files
  • Enter financial transactions into internal databases (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, or ERP system)
  • Prepare invoices, statements, and other financial documents
  • Handle vendor inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation as requested
  • Perform general administrative duties related to accounting


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred)
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or service-based industry
  • Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger principles


Work Environment:

  • Office-based role in Hagerstown, MD
  • Standard business hours (Monday-Friday)
  • May require occasional overtime during month-end or year-end close
