About the role:
Responsible for the timely design, and development of tools and fixtures to be used in the manufacturing of Medical Devices.
Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Works cross-functionally to support process development of complex assembly technologies on new products and ensures efficient and effective transfer of products into production. Capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems by designing tools/fixtures that can work with assembly processes and equipment for a variety of operations in the assembly medical devices. Exercises authority and judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for the design of such tools and fixtures and has a broad knowledge of a variety of alternatives and their impact on the business unit.
- Position will require the use of SolidWorks to design, and a variety of analytical tools to verify tools and fixtures effectiveness before they are turned over to the validation team.
- Responsible for gathering requirements, conceptualizing, presenting, detail designing, verifying and releasing the tool/fixture for validation. During this process, interacts with a cross-functional team members from, but not limited to (Process Development, R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, QA) to ensure that the tool/fixture will meet the requirements.
Required qualifications:
- 6 Years with a High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience, training, or apprenticeships
Prefer qualifications:
- Experience with:
- Fabrication methods such as machining, molding, rapid prototyping/3D printing, etc
- Fine wire handling/micro electrical connections
- Automated equipment
