Senior Accountant

Summary

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN.

Performs various accounting duties throughout the month, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, reports, and financialanalysis. Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports. Appliesaccounting principles, which includes work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature, and that requires an understandingof both accounting theory and practice. Performs accounting functions in areas that are generally more complex in nature andrequires a more advanced understanding and application of accounting principles. Performs duties independently and may provideleadership and guidance to other team members.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or other related business degree.

• 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance with emphasis on general accounting experience.

• Demonstrated experience in financial closing activities and financial statement preparation.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP.

• Proficiency with Excel, Databases, ERP, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Microsoft Word.

• CPA or CPA candidate preferred

• Healthcare experience preferred
