Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm. We are the heart and science of medicine. We are UVM Medical Center. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Sleep Center Clinic Tech performsdaytime procedures including: complex mask fittings, patient education visits, PAP machine downloads and adjustments, portable sleep apnea testing (outpatient/inpatient), home PAP titrations, scoring of PSG studies, MSLT and MWT studies, troubleshooting of equipment, QA activities, inventory, ordering, and other operational needs. The Day Tech is an experienced technologist, adept at all technical competencies (night/day), serves as a technical resource, and provideseducation and training to staff onbest practice. This position is assigned to work primarily during the day shift with the occasional need for flexibility into the early evenings. EDUCATION: Associate's degree, preferably in a science field and/or successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sleep Technology Program, although a Bachelor degree is preferred, and/or 3-5 years of health care experience in a direct care position. EXPERIENCE: Applicant should be an experienced PSG technologist with excellent skills in the following: sleep study scoring, data acquisition, troubleshooting, bedside manners, mask fittings, and patient education. Preference for a lab-approved scoring technologist with RPSGT credentials and Tech II status. WHY UVM MEDICAL CENTER (UVMMC)?
