*Description*
The Server Administrator is responsible for maintaining, building, and managing a diverse infrastructure environment, including Windows Servers, VMware, Veeam, Nutanix, and both physical and virtual server platforms. This role ensures system reliability, security, and performance while providing technical support and collaborating across IT teams. Key Responsibilities: * Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and associated hardware/software components. * Virtualization & Backup: Administer VMware environments and Veeam backup solutions; manage Nutanix infrastructure. * System Maintenance: Apply regular updates, patches, and service packs to ensure system integrity and security. * Security Administration: Implement and maintain security protocols such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption. * Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system performance and resolve hardware/software issues. * User Support: Provide technical assistance and training to end-users on Windows systems and applications. * Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity. * Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. * Performance Optimization: Analyze and enhance system performance to support scalability and efficiency. * Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional IT teams to ensure infrastructure consistency and alignment. * Active Directory: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory. * Infrastructure Modernization: Lead initiatives for server modernization, including OS upgrades, patch management, and server hardening. *Skills* Windows, System administrator, Windows server, Vmware, Active directory, Systems engineering, Powershell, Automation, Windows administration, veeam, Nutanix, Server administrator, Office 365, backup, disaster recovery, domain name server *Top Skills Details* Windows,System administrator,Windows server,Vmware,Active directory,Systems engineering,Powershell,Automation,Windows administration,veeam,Nutanix *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Skills and Education Requirements: * Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in server infrastructure management. * Solid understanding of systems hardware and software within a corporate IT environment. * Familiarity with current cybersecurity tools, techniques, and best practices. * Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse teams and stakeholders. * Strong working knowledge of Windows Server environments, including versions 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019. * Proven technical expertise with strong planning, organizational, and execution capabilities. * Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills. * Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and equipped with strong interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated ability to collaborate and facilitate across teams at all organizational levels. *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
