About the role:

As an Engineer I you will, with oversight, support the development and analysis of complex technical products, processes, components, equipment, and systems related to eVinci microreactors and other advanced or operating reactors.

You will report to the Manager - Mechanical Systems. This role is located in Etna, PA and is hybrid.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thermal, thermal/hydraulic, and piping network engineering design and analysis.
  • Develop blower, pump, valve, heat exchanger, HVAC, or other equipment sizing requirements.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Support more senior engineering personnel in multiple design and analysis efforts.
  • Identify problems and propose solutions to projects and tasks assigned.
  • Communicate with your mentors, lead, and manager on your work's progress, status, technical issues, and schedule.
  • Work and collaborate with other personnel regarding your responsibilities.
  • Participate in team, vendor, regulator, and customer meetings, to present technical materials.
  • Perform work within established scope, budgetary, and schedule requirements.


Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering (Minimum 3.0 GPA) (or related field).
  • General knowledge of engineering and application of fundamentals, uncertainty treatments, and engineering tools.
  • 1+ years of experience with MathCad, MATLAB, or VBA.
  • Experience with testing and testing analysis.
