About The Role: As a Senior Industrial Hygienist, you'll lead and supervise a range of projects, from hazardous material assessments to indoor air quality evaluations, including microbial concerns. You'll prepare detailed reports, offer data-driven recommendations, and draft proposals. Your role includes business development, leadership through senior and peer reviews, mentoring team members, and actively participating in professional associations.
- Field Data Collection: Conduct detailed field assessments (hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, safety, indoor air quality), research and collect data, perform site reconnaissance, and determine investigation scope. Initiate site-specific investigations, evaluate alternatives and risks, and ensure the technical quality of complex projects.
- Report Preparation: Serve as an initial or peer reviewer on selected projects, and as the primary author for complex or large projects. Review and coordinate conceptual studies, designs, and documentation. Author or sign recommendation reports with a senior reviewer's co-signature.
- Proposal Preparation/Project Planning: Review selected proposals, scope and budget projects, and prepare proposal documents independently. Secure work, provide technical presentations to clients, participate in technical society meetings, and serve as the primary client contact for area-level clients.
- Business Development: Engage with local and national professional committees and leverage your network to uncover new business opportunities. Initiate client visits and meetings. Take a leading role in business development within the office, region, service line, and markets.
- Mentoring/Training: Mentor and train staff in best practices and case studies, enhancing their professional skills. Lead teams with varying responsibilities and tasks, provide counsel, advice, and in-house training to individual staff, and identify training needs to ensure the professional growth of team members.
About You:
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Public Health, Physical Sciences, or a related field
- You have at least 10 years of relevant Industrial Hygiene and/or Occupational Safety and Health experience
- You have industry certifications: Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos Supervisor, EPA Lead Inspector, EPA Lead Risk Assessor
- You have good communication and public speaking/presentation skills
- You have a proven track record of project management, meeting project requirements, and building client relationships
