Wash and Breakdown Technician Lead



Position Summary


The Wash and Breakdown Team Lead will work either pressure washing or disassembling our automatic taping tools. The Wash and Breakdown Technician Team Lead will be cross trained to perform a variety of different functions within the production environment as well as be responsible for the output for other employees and own individual performance. The Wash and Breakdown Technician Lead must work well in a team environment and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.



Duties & Responsibilities



  • Follow standard work instructions to disassemble and repair automatic taping tools in line with determined quality standards
  • Comfortable using a pressure washer to clean tools and working with water (waterproof gear provided)
  • Meet daily production expectations
  • Recognize quality defects during the disassembly process
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Meet all quality specifications
  • Maintain paperwork assigned by any level of management
  • Actively participate in all continuous improvement activities
  • Adhere to all 5S standards (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
  • Flexible cross train for proficiency on a variety of duties
  • Adhere to attendance requirements and flexible to work overtime as required



Basic Qualifications



  • High school diploma or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to supervisor or manager.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to switch gears and set priorities according to workload.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
  • Ability to handle fluctuating workload.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Participates in the "Lean Production" initiatives of the Organization.



Responsibilities


Report directly to Production Supervisor. Carries out Team Lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Train new employees and cross-training employees in areas of responsibility.
