Could you be the full-time onsite Industrial Engineer / Continuous Improvement in Sanford, US we're looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your industrial engineering and continuous improvement expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll drive transformative improvements in rail operations, enhancing safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness at SunRail. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (mechanical production, train performance, supply chain, and workforce planning), implement APSYS methodologies to optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement-and much more."

We'll look to you for:




  • Analyzing existing rail operations, including track layouts, logistics, and maintenance procedures, to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. ,



  • Designing and implementing new maintenance and operational methods to maximize efficiency in areas like train handling, train scheduling, and yard management. ,



  • Optimizing new and old facilities to ensure the optimal flow of materials, equipment, and personnel. ,



  • Utilizing data analytics to track railcar movements, identify potential issues, optimize routes, and improve resource allocation. ,



  • Analyzing historical data and predictive analytics to proactively address potential equipment failures or bottlenecks, reducing downtime and costs. ,



  • Considering and implementing safety factors in designs and recommendations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations like those enforced by the FRA, TSA, etc. ,



  • Contributing to the development of training programs to ensure rail workers are properly trained in safe operational procedures and equipment usage. ,



  • Analyzing employee tasks and responsibilities to improve productivity and participating in workforce planning and scheduling.

  • Ability to analyze and improve operational workflows, including logistics and workforce planning. ,



  • Proficiency in warehouse inventory management and supply chain optimization. ,



  • Problem-solving mindset to identify and mitigate potential hazards and bottlenecks. ,



  • Leadership skills to drive transformation and foster collaboration across site functions. ,



  • Resilience and adaptability to manage strategic initiatives in a dynamic environment.
