About the Role

Impact you will make

We're looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative Product Owner to lead the development of our Contract and Contract Modeling Analyzers - these solutions help healthcare providers identify underpayments and ensure payers are reimbursing according to contract terms.

In this role, you'll work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders to break down high-level product vision into actionable work. You'll own the backlog, define features and user stories, and ensure delivery aligns with both user needs and business goals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving into the details, clarifying complexity, and turning ideas into working software that delivers measurable impact.

You'll be part of a high-performing product team focused on improving the financial health of healthcare organizations through transparency, accuracy, and insight.

What you will do

  • Serve as the voice of the customer and subject matter expert

  • Translate product strategy into clear, prioritized user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Collaborate daily with engineering to refine requirements and guide development

  • Work with design and implementation teams to ensure user experience and workflow fit real-world needs

  • Partner with Product Management to track performance, gather feedback, and iterate on functionality

  • Gather requirements using a variety of elicitation techniques (e.g., interviews, surveys, statistical analysis, etc.)

  • Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog to ensure the development team delivers maximum value in each iteration

  • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that reflect user needs and business objectives

  • Create user interaction mock-ups as necessary

  • Coordinate configuration, testing and production migration activities in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure product test and launch as planned

  • Work with leadership to define and refine the product roadmap

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement

  • Assist with internal/external knowledge transfer to explain the purpose, content, and proper operation of new features/products

  • Engage with customers to gather feedback, validate concepts, and ensure the product meets their needs

  • Contribute to the annual budgeting/planning process as needed

  • Perform other duties related to the product management, development, and deployment process as needed

  • Communicate clearly and concisely in all written and verbal communications

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Science, or Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Management Role, such as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in healthcare technology or analytics.

  • Agile Certified Product Owner (CSPO)

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

  • Deep curiosity and solid research and/or data analysis skills that will produce insights and recommendations for the product vision.

  • Strong analytical aptitude and ability to understand complex business practices, break them into discrete processes, and create supporting documentation

  • Strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences

  • Ability to interact with senior management and key business stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently to research topics and articulate the impact of the research on product roadmap initiatives (e.g., gathering detail around the impact of a new regulatory statute)

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with minimal supervision

  • Ability to perform acceptance criteria testing on completed development projects and evaluate suitability of new features and/or products with reference to the established requirements

  • Strong project management, organizational, attention-to-detail, and decision-making skills

  • Strong customer relationship building skills

  • Strong Excel skills and data analysis skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

What we would like to see

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in healthcare

  • SQL and database knowledge a plus

  • Experience with process diagrams and flowcharts (MS Visio, Draw IO, etc.)

  • Experience in a customer-facing role
