Position Overview
CDO Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the security, compliance, and operational integrity of mission-critical systems in federal and/or state government environments. The ISSO will work closely with development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure information security practices are embedded throughout the system lifecycle, while supporting compliance with government regulations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of information security frameworks, including NIST, OWASP, Common Criteria, DISA, and SANS Institute guidelines, to ensure system compliance and security posture.
  • Operate within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development environment to integrate security controls throughout development and deployment cycles.
  • Support networking, system administration, and development teams in implementing secure configurations and processes.
  • Apply working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, virtualization, and software-defined infrastructure to security initiatives.
  • Utilize knowledge of cloud computing technologies to assess and secure cloud-based solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state government security requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, implement mitigations, and document security controls.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An active Top-Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • An active Security+ Certification is required.
  • An Associate degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is required.
  • Hands-on experience applying information security best practices in regulated government environments.
  • Understanding of agile development processes and security integration points.
  • Proficiency in identifying and mitigating security risks across network, system, and application layers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with RMF and other compliance assessment frameworks.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in dynamic, high-security environments.

CDO's total compensation for each position is negotiated within an established range. The final compensation will be determined by demonstrated skills and experience.
