Position Overview
CDO Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of mission-critical information systems by conducting in-depth reviews, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation strategies. You will play a key role in protecting sensitive systems, ensuring adherence to government regulations and industry best practices, and leveraging tools such as Splunk for proactive monitoring and incident detection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review information systems to confirm that management, operational, personnel, and technical controls are functioning as intended.
  • Identify and evaluate technical and operational security risks, threats, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities associated with information systems.
  • Ensure information system compliance with government standards and industry best practices, including NIST, OWASP, Common Criteria, DISA, and SANS Institute guidelines.
  • Apply knowledge of information security practices within federal and/or state government environments.
  • Utilize Splunk for audit log review, threat detection, and system alerting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support continuous improvement by recommending security enhancements and process optimizations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An active Top-Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • An active Security+ certification is required.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles.
  • Associate degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is required.
  • Strong understanding of security compliance frameworks and assessment methodologies.
  • Proven ability to assess complex systems and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Splunk for security monitoring and log analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with risk management frameworks (RMF) and compliance auditing.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in both independent and team-based environments in high-security settings.

CDO's total compensation for each position is negotiated within an established range. The final compensation will be determined by demonstrated skills and experience.
