On the Waymo Marketing team, you will help to connect people with the magic and impact of Waymo's autonomous driving technology. Our team has the unique opportunity to not only grow Waymo's brand from the ground up, but to also build societal acceptance for autonomous driving technology for the first time in history. We build thoughtful marketing strategy, positioning, messaging and creative assets to deliver messages that matter to our audience, communicated through anything from video content, to social media interactions, to immersive physical experiences. We also shape Waymo's go-to-market initiatives, helping to transform Waymo into a thriving business with a growing user base.

In this hybrid role, you will report into our Brand Marketing & Creative Strategy Manager

You will:



  • Strategic Brand Planning: Develop and lead the brand marketing strategy for new market launches and ongoing brand-building efforts, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners across marketing, policy, comms, product, business development and operations.
  • Campaign Development: Own the end-to-end development of brand marketing campaigns, from initial concept to final execution, to enhance brand reputation and consumer trust.
  • Policy & Communications Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with the Policy and Communications teams to develop brand advocacy campaigns that invoke community support in new markets.
  • Brand Management: Maintain high brand marketing and creative standards when working with partners on co-branded initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Planning: Lead and manage cross-functional launch planning, ensuring seamless execution across marketing, policy, comms, product, business development, and operations.


You have:



  • 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, brand strategy, or a related field in-house or at an agency
  • Proven experience in developing and executing brand marketing strategies for regional or national market launches.
  • Demonstrated experience in growing a brand's footprint from a city-specific level to a multi-city or national scale.
  • Experience applying brand marketing and creative campaigns to reach complex new markets and audiences, in partnership with Policy, Public Affairs, or Consumer Advocacy teams.
  • Experience collaborating with a wide range of teams including product, comms, policy, operations, legal, and business development on brand strategy efforts.
  • A portfolio of successfully launched marketing campaigns with measurable results in brand lift, customer acquisition, or public perception.


We prefer:



  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with prior experience in consumer technology, transportation, or a regulated industry.
  • Experience managing co-marketing efforts ensuring programs effectively represent each brand and achieve shared objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in brand planning for international or global market expansion.
  • Experience working in-house at a consumer and/or technology brand


Travel Requirements: 1-3 times a quarter

This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the role location or, if the role can be performed remote, the specific salary range for your preferred location, during the hiring process.
