What will you do?
Set the strategic direction on sustainable oversight of 3rd party trade execution related spend. Define and establish new business processes and form strong relationships across front and back-office businesses and functions. Lead a team of analysts responsible for the validation of received expense invoices compared to in-house data analytics and solve for any discrepancy. Build a data analytics capability that will model various cost optimization strategies based on trade data interpretation and execute as appropriate in concert with trading desks. Establish a cost reporting framework that highlights key expense areas to enable effective decision making by businesses relative to trade execution strategies. Provide strategic leadership over cost optimization opportunities including negotiating vendor costs, continuous review of all connections with CIT, and providing recommendations to business heads around saving opportunities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives requiring process improvements across tooling, reporting, business engagement. Establish a centralized repository of all benchmarks by supplier and product type that will identify areas for cost optimization. Select, build, and lead a high performing team, leveraging individual capabilities and strengths. Work with team members to establish goals, drive performance management, support career development and reward strong performance.
What do you need to succeed? Must-have
Proven leadership experience in Capital Markets and an understanding of Global Markets businesses. Strong understanding of trading execution strategies and transaction lifecycle. Demonstrated experience in the coordination of large cross-functional programs/projects Track record of driving operational excellence and optimizing processes (including use of technology where applicable) Demonstrated experience in defining and establishing new business processes and forming strong relationships. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively liaise with diverse teams and vendors.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $160,000 - $225,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
