The Centralized Operations Director is a seasoned leader with substantial expertise in centralized delivery of services and network operations, responsible for providing direction as part of the Networks Services team. This role oversees various operations disciplines ensuring excellent end-to-end operational and cost performance across Americas Networks services customer contracts with primary focus in North America. The person in this position will ensure high-quality work and strict adherence to engineering and operations standards while continuously managing outcomes, as reflected in Networks Customer scorecards. They will also maintain essential strategic relationships with customers, vendors, offshore/nearshore organizations and support governance for North America
The Centralized Operations Director will supervise and manage many centralized operational functions within North America to ensure efficient and profitable service execution. This role requires strategic leadership to ensure all operations align with company objectives, customer expectations, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the telecom industry, with proven experience in engineering, operations management, strategic planning, and effective team leadership.
This role is a member of the Americas Networks Construction & Engineering leadership team reporting directly to the Head of Construction & Engineering. The role will be based in Plano, Texas.
What you will do:
- Operational Leadership: Direct and manage a centralized operations organization including network operations, service delivery, and offshore teams, ensuring that they are executed effectively and within the cost structure approved via the formal sales process. Expected to have a multi-discipline operations background:
- General operations & support functions
- Site scoping
- Inbuilding services rollout
- Build operations management
- External workforce management
- Environmental Health and Safety administration
- Networks services presales support
- Strategic Planning: Implement operational strategies that align with overall company objectives, driving growth and operational excellence.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Customer Focus: Ensure that customer satisfaction is at the forefront of all operational decisions. Implement processes to monitor and improve customer satisfaction across the territory, as defined by customer scorecards.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) = analyzing data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth. - Budget Management: Monitor budget and optimal internal headcount numbers based on business scope and volume, ensuring cost control while meeting operational goals and maintaining high standards of service quality.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with operational activities. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other organizations, such as pre-sales, engineering, regional operations and strategic planning teams
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and partners, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of operations experience in the telecom industry, with at least 5 years in a organization leadership role.
- Experience leading a large multi-functional organization, managing teams and driving performance to achieve organizational priorities.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire high-performing teams.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset that is open to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated technical expertise related to build operations
- Strong understanding of telecom operations, including field crew operations.
- Exceptional oral and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with advanced storytelling abilities to support in change management activities.
- Experience with digital platforms and process digitization is a plus.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
