Purpose of the Job The Director, Truliant Financial Advisors has responsibility for managing Truliant Financial Advisors to ensure the department is meeting the needs of Truliant's members. The Director ensures that Financial Advisors help members identify financial goals and objectives through face-to-face financial consultation, assess members' unique financial situation and propose appropriate securities and insurance products to meet members' needs. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Implements business plan objectives that support Credit Union growth, service quality and financial goals.
- Defines the objectives, operating guidelines, and job responsibilities for assigned staff.
- Provides leadership and direction on improving member satisfaction, institution satisfaction, and associate satisfaction while maintaining or improving budgeted productivity and quality standards.
- Directs and coordinates staff activities having as their primary purpose the service delivery to the member. Responsible for day-to-day resource management, project deliverables/quality, and employee development.
- Responsible for ensuring organizational, business unit and departmental policies, procedures and practices that are formulated and uniformly applied throughout the department
- Identifies, develops, and recommends revision of internal standards, policies, operating procedures and new programs to improve efficiency; works with other departments to provide staff with clear and concise written guidelines.
- Anticipates, manages and resolves risk items to protect the Credit Union's interests while considering the member experience.
- Analyzes and resolves member questions, complaints, or problems requiring experience or knowledge beyond individual Advisor's authority.
- Collaborates with other members of management to establish and leverage productive enterprise relationships ensuring the group is providing maximum quality service and delivering full capabilities.
- Ensures Advisors follow the established securities and insurance compliance guidelines, and strictly adhere to all Credit Union and CFS policies where appropriate.
- Prepares and independently analyzes performance data (e.g., associate productivity, financial, staffing, and disposition) to identify trends and root causes of volume or performance changes and develops action plans to resolve any deficiencies.
- Completes performance management plans and ensures timely performance feedback to staff.
- Participates in the development and implementation of the annual budget and is responsible for department results in terms of planning and cost.
- Interviews and hires candidates for open positions within the department, as needed.
- Has full management responsibility for staff (i.e. salary actions, promotions, performance reviews, and disciplinary action) in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must have extensive financial product/service business knowledge in the areas of investments, financial planning, insurance and legal compliance
- Must have consistent record of meeting / exceeding Compliance Inspections and overall Business With Integrity standards, including a clean U-4
- Must be able to effectively implement / leverage technology and all other available investment tools and resources to provide member- clients an exceptional experience on a consistent basis
- Demonstrated knowledge/skills in long- and short-range strategic planning required
- Must have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Must have intermediate knowledge on Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must have superior interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible, compassionate
- Must be able to make high-level decisions in an ambiguous environment

Physical Requirements
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping required
- Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
- Must be able to moderately lift or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds

Education and Background
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 7 years financial services sales experience required
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience is required, to include expanded geographical coverage
- FINRA series 7 and 65 (or series 65 equivalent) licenses required
- Life and Health licenses required
- FINRA series 24 preferred
- A working knowledge of the fundamentals of the Credit Union movement, financial services industry required
