We're looking for a Key Account Representiative - Customer Development (Southeast) to grow Aspire Bakeries' branded presence across the Southeast (NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN). In this role, you'll manage and expand key customer accounts, prospect and close new business, and partner with brokers to deliver sales and margin growth. You'll identify menu and promotional opportunities, lead contract negotiations, manage forecasting and budgets, and collaborate cross-functionally to bring new products to market. Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute sales strategies with the Senior Manager and Broker Chain team to achieve territory objectives and exceed budget and profit goals.
  • Prospect, present, and close new customer opportunities while growing existing branded accounts through pricing, contracts, RFPs, and new item placements.
  • Identify menu gaps, promotions, and initiatives to drive incremental sales.
  • Oversee product forecasting and coordinate new product rollouts.
  • Create and manage budgets for sales, margin, program funds, and allowances.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other teams to pursue high-potential sales and margin opportunities.
  • Communicate account updates, issues, and results through reports and cross-team discussions.
  • Represent Aspire Bakeries at tradeshows and customer events while maintaining customer correspondence and required financial documentation.
  • Build deep knowledge of bakery capabilities, categories, and food handling; provide training and support to customers and brokers.


Territory for this role is Southeast Region (NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN)

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, Culinary, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record in foodservice sales at Broker, Distributor, or Operator level, with strong customer account management skills.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business and growing existing accounts, including incremental product placement with major accounts.
  • Ability to thrive in opportunistic, unstructured environments while maintaining focus on results and relationship building.
  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) with excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Prior bakery experience and/or culinary background preferred; broker management experience a plus.
  • Able to travel 50% of the time and must be based near a major airport within the territory (no relocation available).
