 Local Sourcing Lead is responsible for Indirect Sourcing and Direct material tail spend activities for our Amarillo and Wichita Falls locations in the US. Activities include complex purchasing assignments tendering, supplier management, negotiations and supplier selections, as well operational procurement tasks.  The Local Sourcing Lead is accountable of the execution of sourcing processes cross plants to ensure the sourcing function is fulfilling all plant operational activities and safety requirements, by following SOX and process compliance and driving productivity through sourcing initiatives. The Local Sourcing Lead is responsible for searching and negotiating organizational contracts and procurements, which then can be executed at plant level by local MRO buyers. This role requires good communication skills and the ability to coordinate activities across functional areas as well as with Suppliers, Functional Leaders, Category Leaders, Plant Leadership team and other key stakeholders.  The position directly reports to the Plant Controller and is a key member of various cross-functional teams focused on enhancing our Value Creation Process. Span of Control: This position has no direct reports, but will interface heavily with the above mentioned. 
 Procurement activities

 Drive sourcing productivity initiatives specific Sub Region/Country/Business Unit for indirect materials and services and for direct material tail spend suppliersInfluencing others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices
 
        
 Initiate supplier performance assessments when neededDeveloping sources of supply for materials & services considering sustainable solutions leveraging market expertisePreparing complex purchasing assignments requiring vendor selection and pricing comparisonsExecute needed risk mitigation acts are taken when needed to ensure no losses occur at the plantsDrive sourcing value creation initiatives, continuously improve total cost by identifying and leading cost reduction activities without jeopardizing security of supply
 
        
 Purchase indirect materials and services by utilizing OC sourcing tools (SAP, Coupa) to support operations Ensures SOX and process compliance is met in all sourcing and procurement activitiesClosely collaborate with MRO buyers in plants and delegate order process execution for pre negotiated materials and servicesAct as a liaison between plant operations, external suppliers, category leaders and other stakeholdersContinuously improves procurement processes with the objective of eliminating waste or other non-value-added work by utilizing the procurement digital platforms (SAP, Coupa, P-card) Always meet and follow accepted business practices, clean business ethics, safety protocols, directives, laws, and norms

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
        
 Bachelor's degree in purchasing or supply chain management, business or a related field, or equivalent work-experience within sourcing, supply chain, logistics or economicsFluent written and spoken English skill is mandatoryFluent in Languages of the countries where responsible
 
 
 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 
 
        
 3-5 years' experience in a sourcing and procurement role preferred.
