Position Description

Modine is seeking a skilled Software Architect/Programmer to join our global engineering team. This high-level development role offers the opportunity to work remotely on a full-time basis, collaborating with team members based in India, Italy, and the United States.

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining web-based applications that support thermal calculations, business rules, and product selection logic. These tools play a key role in our engineering and customer-facing processes.

You'll engage directly with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, then work alongside your international teammates to implement robust software solutions that meet those needs.

Our technology stack primarily includes ASP.NET and Angular, with several projects leveraging Microsoft Azure for scalability and cloud integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps for project workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (see REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS).
  • Design, develop, and implement new software solutions as well as enhance existing systems to support business needs.
  • Collaborate with customers and cross-functional engineering teams to gather technical requirements and translate them into actionable development items.
  • Support stakeholders in refining, defining, and prioritizing software requirements.
  • Provide technical mentorship to fellow developers and contribute to peer code reviews.
  • Operate effectively both independently and within a distributed global team spanning the US and India.
  • Manage tasks and communication using Jira, including ticket tracking and dashboards.
  • Lead and participate in project management activities such as scheduling, status meetings, and milestone tracking.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience.
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience with relevant technologies in a professional development environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to collaborate effectively across teams and geographies.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • AZ-400: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert required.
  • AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate required.
  • AZ-500: Azure Security Engineer Associate preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with:
    • Visual Studio 2022, Visual Studio Code
    • Azure DevOps
    • C#, SQL Server, Angular, LINQ, Entity Framework, and Dapper
    • HTML, CSS, TypeScript
    • RESTful API development
