Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced Manager, Screening to work in our Kansas City, MO office.



Role Overview:


Develop and manage a team of Screening Specialists, who perform One Call ticket review tasks of considerable technical difficulty through analyzing facility locations. Oversee daily operations of the screening department staff, locating ticket management system, and contract locator to correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground telecommunications utilities. Provide technical and administrative assistance to state One Call departments, contract locator, ticket management system vendors and company stakeholders. Oversee auditing processes to ensure quality control standards. Respond to data inquiries from various groups within and external to the company and create/publish regularly scheduled and/or ad hoc reports. Responsible for ensuring tasks are completed on time, setting goals, tracking progress and efficiently using all available resources.


Qualifications



  • Education: Some college preferred; minimum of 5 years' related industry experience or a combined 5 years of education and related experience.


  • Experience: 5 years One Call experience with 2+ years' leadership experience in a One Call locating or screening environment with verifiable experience in overseeing a ticket management system preferred. Knowledge of the telecommunications industry and its practices/standards pertaining to fiber construction. Proficient with MS Office product suites, ESRI GIS.
  • Key Competencies: Must have advanced experience in ticket management and One Call systems, analyzing locating/One Call operations and exceptional communication and coordination skills. Must be able to conduct meetings and motivate a team toward a common goal. Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills required.
