IG ASM Stager I -MTW Nights

Wage Range: $20.15-$23.35

Function:

Responsible for staging and sequencing orders properly for productions. Positions staged glass in such a manner to promote smooth running down production lines. Moves inter-company production recuts and orders to pending areas or to the next production line. Works with inter-company personnel from other production lines.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Proofreads all invoices to ensure unit makeups, surface designations, silkscreen orientation as well as other invoice / customer specific requirements are correct. Assembles glass lites on A-Frames according to sequential assembly requirements and delivers them to the lines as needed. Ensures recuts are staged properly for production, including inspecting staged glass to ensure proper quantities, quality and running sequence. Positions staged glass in such a manner to effect minimum down time at washer feeder station. Secures glass panels on frames in an appropriate manner to avoid breakage during storage or transit. Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation. Participates in Viracon's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

Load and unload the ASM as directed. Participate in area TPM's Develops and maintains department record of panels processed, and forwards records to the appropriate department. Receives shipments of glass to ensure complete and accurate shipments. Records on weekly plan. Maintains salvage A-Frames and I-Racks as required by the current policy. Maintains recut/rerun harp. Responsible for the condition, location and identification of match-up glass. Production reports all recuts received in recut plan to ensure accurate deliver by other department. Maintains an effective working relationship with all department employees. Maintains a neat and orderly working area throughout the workday. Performs duties in a safe manner, using all approved safety equipment as instructed. May perform reasonably similar or related duties as instructed. Uses forklift, tugger in a safe manner.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred but not required. Ability to read and understand work instructions (English). Mathematical skill as related to measurements. Familiar with operating power tools. Ability to take supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member. Must be able to safely perform essential job responsibilities. Regular full-time attendance. Promotes Viracon in a positive manner and obeys all policies.

Addition Qualifications for Insulating Stager 2 and ASM Stager 2:

Employee must demonstrate the tasks, outlined in the training plan of the higher labor grade, prior to receiving and increased labor grade rate.
