Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled & experienced Process / Operations Excellence Engineer in the Tantalum Innovation Center located in Simpsonville, SC. This is an onsite role that will lead and support initiatives that drive operational efficiency, process optimization & continuous improvement across the manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and support initiatives that drive operational efficiency, process optimization & continuous improvement across the manufacturing organization
  • Lead cross functional projects to improve operational performance, reduce waste and enhance productivity
  • Analyze current processes to identify opportunities for improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and other methodologies
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause analysis and value stream mapping sessions
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with equipment engineering, production, quality & supply chain teams to ensure alignment & sustainability of changes
  • Support digital transformation and automation initiatives to streamline operations


Required Qualifications



    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
    • 5 to 8 years of related experience desired
    • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt minimum)
    • Experience with ERP systems & digital tools for process optimization is a plus
    • Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance
    • Proven track record of leading successful improvement projects with measurable results
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, Power BI, etc.)
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent attention to detail and good organizational skills
    • Excellent teamwork skills which include demonstrating a positive attitude, good work ethic and sense of urgency in completing tasks/projects (driven)
