Milliman's Health Research Team is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience analyzing healthcare data, generating insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and a passion for working with data in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time internship from October to December 2025 with the opportunity to extend longer, based on performance.

Who We Are

The Health Research Team supports Milliman products and practices in a variety of capacities. These include but are not limited to financial functions, client support, project management, data engineering, and data analytics services. As a shared service team, we pride ourselves in delivering high quality, timely support to Milliman's clients, consultants, and leadership teams.

Job Responsibilities



  • Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to support healthcare business objectives.


  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.


  • Assist in the development and automation of data visualizations using PowerBI and/or Tableau.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and provide actionable insights.


  • Utilize SQL or Python to extract, clean, and manipulate data as required.


  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy by performing regular quality checks.


  • Support the documentation of data processes and procedures.


  • Participate in meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Pursuing abachelor'sor master's degree preferably in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (will consider recent graduates).
  • Available to work full-time (at least 37.5 hours per week from October to December 2025)


  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.


  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.


  • Ability to visually prepare, read, interpret, and analyze detailed electronic data.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using PowerBI and/or Tableau is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or Python for data analysis and manipulation is preferred.

Schedule: This is a full-time internship. Candidates must be able to work at least 37.5 hours per week from October through December 2025. This internship can be extended longer, based on performance.

Compensation: The overall hourly range for this role is $19 - $42 per hour. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.

For candidates residing in:

Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia:



  • $21 - $38 per hour


New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco:



  • $24 - $42 per hour


All other states:



  • $19 - $35 per hour


Location: This role is based out of the Milliman office in Chicago, IL, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US or in the office on a weekly basis with flexible work arrangements.
