Position Title: Industrial Engineer Our client in Germantown, WI is seeking a hands-on Industrial Engineer to support process improvements across production and warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys being on the floor with the maintenance and technician teams, and brings a methodical yet flexible approach to problem-solving. With an emphasis on efficiency, safety, automation, and workflow optimization, this position plays a key role in driving process improvement while supporting new capital equipment and system implementations. What You'll Do: - Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness - Support and troubleshoot automation equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, and robotics - Perform time studies, line balancing, takt time analysis, and workflow redesigns - Work cross-functionally with Maintenance and Operations to implement new equipment, train staff, and troubleshoot production challenges - Develop and maintain technical documentation, BOMs, routings, and work instructions - Participate in Kaizen events, Lean/5S initiatives, and continuous improvement projects - Research, justify, and execute capital projects, ensuring smooth implementation on the shop floor - Partner with Quality and Engineering to support ISO compliance, new product introductions, and design-for-manufacturability What You Bring: - 5+ years of Industrial Engineering (or related) experience, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics environment - Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, time studies, and process improvement methodologies - Familiarity with automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, robotics) and ERP software (SAP preferred) - Hands-on, floor-oriented approach-comfortable working side by side with maintenance and technician teams - Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to instruct, support, and collaborate across departments - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered) - AutoCAD, SAP, Six Sigma, BOM/routing creation experience is a plus Compensation & Benefits: - Target salary range: $85,000 - $100,000, plus bonus eligibility - Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, company-paid insurance, 401(k), and more IND345 |
