Position Summary:


The Sr. Manager of Internal Communications and Executive Communications at SkyWater Technology will lead the strategy and execution of company-wide employee communications and executive visibility and engagement with our internal audiences. This role is pivotal in aligning internal messaging with our business objectives and shaping how leadership communicates across the enterprise and ensures communication is a catalyst during periods of organizational change. The role will work closely with the Senior Director of Corporate Communication to execute change management communications during acquisitions ensuring a seamless transition for employees and ensuring company culture is executed throughout the transition.


This role will ensure that a strategy is created and executed to ensure consistent, clear communication across all company locations (MN, FL and TX). This role will be responsible for managing internal communication channels and developing content that keeps employees informed and connected.


Major Areas of Accountability:


Internal Communications Strategy & Execution



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive integrated internal communications strategy that supports company culture, fosters employee engagement, and aligns with business priorities
  • Conduct an internal communications audit to identify how employees engage, opportunities for improvement and areas for focus and development
  • Work closely with external communications to ensure narratives are translated for an internal audience and deployed throughout the organization through various channels.
  • Own the company's internal editorial calendar ensuring consistent messaging across departments, regions and platforms.
  • Create compelling content for internal channels (e.g. Intranet, newsletters, town halls, digital signage and video scripts)
  • Track and measure effectiveness of internal communications, using data to inform improvement.



Executive Communications




  • Working in partnership with the Sr. Director of Communications, this role will tightly align external messaging for our leaders with the employee audience. Serve as trusted advisor to senior leaders including the CEO and CLT to help shape their voice and visibility within the organization during moments of employee communication touchpoints.
  • Write speeches, talking points, presentations for executives for internal audiences that reflect external messaging
  • Develop and manage communications strategies for the leadership team around change initiatives, company milestones and business priorities.


Employee Engagement and Culture



  • Partner with Human Resources, cross-functional teams and business leaders to support internal campaigns across MN, FL and TX related to culture, recognition and employee experience.
  • Lead the planning execution of town halls and other high impact forums


Crisis and Change Communications



  • Lead communication strategy and messaging for key business changes such as organizational transformation, restructures, integrations, system implementation and cultural evolution.
  • Translate complex or sensitive updates into clear, accessible messaging for multiple employee audiences.
  • Partner with Sr. Director of Communications, Legal, HR and Operations to develop messaging around sensitive issues and organizational updates.
  • Develop toolkits, FAQs, video scripts, and training materials to support frontline leaders in cascading change messages.
  • Serve in partnership with Sr. Director of Corporate Communications in crafting employee-facing crisis or incident communications
  • Ensure employees receive consistent, accurate and reassuring information during urgent or unexpected events.



Required Qualifications:


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.


Experience:



  • 15+years of experience in internal, executive or change management communications
  • Proven ability to build communication plans that support major organizational change.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with experience in crafting clear, engaging content for diverse internal audiences in a variety of formats.
  • Strong executive presence and experience as a trusted advisor with leadership.
  • Experience in leading internal events or town halls.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to move projects or events forward taking into consideration the needs of multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:



  • High emotional intelligence and political savvy.
  • Experience in organizations undergoing rapid change or transformation.
  • Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for light design work.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, or related industries is preferred, but not required.

The annual salary range for this role is $129,040 - $193,560. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
