Your Role on the Team

Reporting to the Associate Director, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the coordination and management of Career Fairs, Campus Interviewing, Employer Information Sessions, Visibility Tables, and other recruitment programs. The incumbent is also responsible for the daily monitoring of the Employer Relations email account and DCP's Handshake platform to provide excellent customer service to our partners in the employer community. Assists with data tracking, reporting, and outreach to support the Division of Career Pathways' recruitment initiatives.

Excellent attention to detail required to coordinate events logistics and communications. Excellent interpersonal skills are required as this position interacts frequently, and independently, with a wide variety of external hiring organizations ("employers"), corporate partners, vendors, campus departments, and students.

Assists with reviewing feedback from recruiting events and supports the implementation of process improvements under the guidance of the Associate Director and Employer Relations team.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Basic knowledge of UC programs, career services, recruiting and staffing methods, and employment trends.
  • Ability to use computer systems and applications, experience with productivity/office management tool such as Outlook, Google, etc, ,Strong presentation skills, verbal communication, written communication to work effectively and collaborate with a wide variety of constituents, such as students, faculty, staff, and employment community.
  • Experience planning executing small and large scale events, with internal and external constituents preferably career fairs, and ability to provide direction to full-time employees and student workers and the ability to coordinate direct vendors and other service providers.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to effectively manage and track details of projects, priorities and deadlines and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high productivity levels within assigned responsibilities, consistently meeting established deadlines while effectively managing frequent interruptions
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Experience planning/hosting large scale events, preferably career fairs, and ability to lead and provide direction to full-time employees and student workers, ability to coordinate and direct vendors and other service providers.

Preferred:

  • Experiencing using creating online surveys and analyzing their results.
  • Experience with Handshake career management tool.
  • Experience with Kuali and TouchNet online finance tools.

Special Conditions:

  • Occasional evening work and weekend work required. Ability to travel and provide own reliable means of transportation.
  • Position eligible for hybrid work, inclusive of both onsite and remote work.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $28.88- $29.78 (Hourly).
