The Opportunity

The Financial Aid Specialist II will report to the Associate Director and will be responsible for performing regular quality control checks and balances of all Federal Aid, State Financial Aid programs, Institutional scholarships and External scholarships. These include systematic reviews that affect the student's eligibility, reviewing documentation, and adjusting aid offers/disbursements in accordance with Federal and State Regulations, University policies and procedures.

The Financial Aid Specialist II will provide support to Financial Aid Counselors and assisting with student counseling and advising students about financial aid eligibility, programs, costs, and financial aid planning.

This position will assist with the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual analysis of financial aid data to identify potential risks, discrepancies, or errors that may impact the timely and compliant distribution of student aid.

Maintains a working knowledge of Federal and State Regulations and ERAU policies/regulations. Support excellence in students services at every opportunity, support academic quality in our teaching and learning environment, participate as a team member and support our team environment.

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Financial Aid Experience Preferred

Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to support staff and maintain a student-centered approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
