Proposal Specialist

Bolton & Menk is in search of a Proposal Specalist to join our Marketing group in southern Minnesota. This position will be responsible for assisting the proposal process to include the organization, development and production of proposals and other information to professionally position Bolton & Menk, Inc. to win proposals and future work. We are looking to add an enthusiastic and positive team member to our team who is self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once. What You Will Be Doing:

This position will focus on working with project managers and technical experts to write, design, and produce persuasive documents, showcasing how Bolton & Menk creates safe, sustainable, and beautiful communities!

• Serves on proposal team, assisting with proposal development activities including developing effective win strategies, themes and discriminators with technical staff; and contributes to technical solution/content development within a defined proposal schedule.
• Analyzes RFP content and amendments.
• Develops exceptional proposals and responses to solicitations that highlight and emphasize the differentiators associated with the organization's approach and strategy for specific opportunities.
• Guides technical staff through the proposal development process.
• Writes cover letters, executive summaries, resumes, project descriptions, and formats and edits proposals.
• Performs quality assurance/control checks on proposal submittals and acts as a resource to marketing specialists, marketing coordinators, and technical proposal champions for proposal preparation assistance.
• Prepares presentations and other sales tools.
• Assists with coordination of graphics and proposal production.
• Maintains staff qualifications, project descriptions, and other proposal copy.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in technical communication, communications, marketing, journalism, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 3 years of experience in writing proposals, case studies, and white papers preferred - preferably with a professional services organization.
• Excellent composition, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Indesign with a strong eye for visually appealing document layouts.
• Advanced skills with desktop publishing software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite).

Salary Range: $56,000 - $76,000 depending on years of experience and credentials

Bolton & Menk is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to specific geographic location.
