A Brief Overview The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (DCAPBS) at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is a nationally recognized leader in advancing mental health care for children, adolescents, and families. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence, research, training, and community partnership, DCAPBS offers a full continuum of services across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and specialty care settings. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver evidence-based, family-centered care, while driving innovation in prevention, early intervention, and treatment of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions. This role is responsible for supporting the financial and programmatic operations of a wide range of clinical and non-clinical programs, projects and initiatives including (but not limited to) those connected to the strategic plan, operating plan initiatives across the entity as well as departmental & divisional plans.
Responsibilities will include facets of all three missions of the division - clinical, research and education and an understanding of academic medicine both at CHOP and as part of the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Responsibilities primarily involve independent budget and business plan preparation and financial and other operational data analysis. Also, will independently present analysis to internal and external audiences.
This role independently represents Division in Departmental initiatives, and heavily involved with strategic planning in Division.
This position will effectively and independently interface with physician leaders both within the division and across the enterprise to advise and partner on program development, strategic planning and problem solving.
What you will do
- Processing Workday, Concur and other expense reimbursement;
- Purchasing/ordering supplies and equipment;
- Data Collection and organization for annual budgets and variance analyses.
- Processing moonlighting payments for stipend staff and CHOP and PENN paid staff;
- Processing Staff PCAs and PAAs and ensuring on time completion;
- Collecting and organizing data ranging from clinical productivity, research productivity, operational metrics, University and other HR data, along with report generation and distribution.
- Participation in budget and financial analysis as directed by Manager and/or Director
- Performing initial data analysis and interpretation for various sets of data (i.e. financial, operational metrics, clinical productivity, etc.)
- High degree of autonomy in participating in budget and financial analysis as directed by Director.
- Presenting data analysis and action planning to internal/external audiences.
- Highly involved with strategic planning within Division.
- Leading or actively participating in Divisional/departmental initiatives.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree - Required
- Master's Degree in business, health administration or related field - Preferred
Experience Qualifications
- At least seven (7) years of related healthcare administration or operations experience - Required
- At least five (5) years of leadership, management or supervisory experience - Required
- At least seven (7) years of healthcare related data, budget or financial analysis experience - Preferred
- At least seven (7) years of leadership, management or supervisory experience - Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced proficiency with budget management (Required proficiency)
- Advanced proficiency with program development (Required proficiency)
- Advanced proficiency with QI tools/approaches (Required proficiency)

$104,600.00 - $138,600.00 Annually
Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly. ------------------- This job is eligible for an incentive program.
