About the role

Reworld is seeking a Special Waste Coordinator (SWC) who will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Facility's Supplemental Waste Program.

Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Supplemental Waste Program to include the receiving, off-loading and handling of Special Waste deliveries; daily plant cleanup assignments; and all related administrative paperwork, contract, profiles, receipts and tracking procedures associated with the Supplemental Waste Program. The SWC will work closely with the environmental, operations, and business departments to approve and process waste opportunities and ensure strong customer relations. This position will ensure that all relevant Federal and State regulatory requirements and sound environmental, health & safety practices are followed.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Waste Receiving - The selected individual will be responsible for supervising, unloading, inspection, and processing of special waste.

  • Follow Requirements - This position will ensure that all Approval Requirements, SOPs, Regulatory Requirements and facility EHS requirements are followed.

  • Coordinate with Operations - Work cooperatively with Facility Operations to ensure inbound waste is managed in accordance with operational management plans (tipping floor, pit, operations, traffic flow, etc.).

  • Program Administration - Ensure all paperwork and procedures are properly administered to ensure consistency with the national assured destruction programs.

  • Customer Witnesses - Will host customer's visits to the facility to conduct secure witness destruction and in-depth audits. Will coordinate with team to ensure customer visits are efficient.

  • Communications - Be the central point of contact for all special waste activities between Facility, Corporate and customers.

  • Additional duties may include, assisting in Outages, inventory management, housekeeping as well as performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma/GED required

  • 1-3 years of shipping receiving and warehouse experience

  • Strong communication skills and proven relationship development

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.

  • Proven change management skills.

  • Forklift and other heavy equipment certification.

  • Strong high attention to detail and organization.

Additional Skills Preferred:

  • Technical training or B.S. degree.

  • Energy from Waste facility / power plant experience.

  • Customer service / account management experience.

  • Knowledge of MS Customer Relations Mgmt. (CRM) &/or PeopleSoft Financials.

  • Environmental Sciences or Chemistry experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.

  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.

  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.

  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.

  • Consistently work in various weather conditions.

Shift Work:

Monday to Friday; 7am - 3:30 with 1/2 hr lunch break.
