Freelance Designer - Wrangler Women's Tops

Become the Newest Member of Kontoor Brands

We're looking for a freelance designer to support the Wrangler Women's Tops category. This role will report to the Senior Designer and work closely with the broader design team to execute seasonal concepts, bringing trend-right and brand-right product to life with speed and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design and development of the Women's Tops collection, from concept through final tech pack.
• Create detailed CAD sketches, artwork fills, and colorways using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Build and update tech packs with accurate design details, ensuring smooth communication with cross-functional partners.
• Enter and maintain styles, materials, and updates in the PLM system.Enter and maintain styles, materials, and updates in the PLM system - Smartsheets.
• Research trends, fabrics, and washes to inspire designs aligned with Wrangler's brand DNA.
• Review samples, update comments, and collaborate with Product Development to ensure styles meet fit, fabric, and costing requirements.
• Contribute to seasonal presentations by preparing clear visuals and supporting storytelling materials.

Skills for Success:

• Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong flat sketching and CAD skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience creating and maintaining tech packs and working within PLM systems.
• Solid understanding of apparel design and development, with experience in women's categories (tops preferred).
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills.

Experience/Education:

• 3-5 years of apparel design experience, ideally with women's product focus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion/Apparel Design or equivalent experience.

Commitment:
This is a freelance/contract position. Project timeline and workload to be discussed during the interview.
