Salary Details The academic year salary for an assistant professor will not be less than $82,111, based on the most recent collective bargaining agreement between the faculty union (AAUP-AFT) and Rutgers University.

Posting Summary
The Department of Psychology at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, NJ, plans to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY, with a start date of September 1, 2026. We seek a candidate who has a strong research program in any area of social psychology. We welcome applications from candidates whose research is in one or more of the following areas: intergroup relations, motivation, relationships, and health. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Social Psychology or a related field by the time of appointment, will be expected to develop and maintain an active, extramurally funded research program, and teach and mentor at the undergraduate and graduate level in the field of social psychology.
