Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations leads the design, execution, and evaluation of university-wide strategies related to advancement, development, fundraising, and alumni relations. Advancement at AUC serves as a core engagement hub, fostering collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to promote understanding of the Universitys mission and support its strategic priorities. The division develops and implements programs that create local and global engagement opportunities for students, alumni, staff, faculty, donors, employers, organizations, and trustees, with the aim of enhancing donor relations, philanthropic support, and alumni engagement. Based in Cairo, Egypt, the Vice Presidents primary responsibilities include cultivating a culture of philanthropy that energizes all University stakeholders; providing guidance and operational support to academic and administrative leadership on fundraising and alumni engagement; and advising the President and Board of Trustees on efforts to elevate AUCs reputation and influence in Egypt, the MENA region, and globally. The role carries significant managerial responsibility for fundraising and alumni relations, overseeing a team of more than 25 staff members based in Egypt and North America, and includes direct responsibility for cultivating a select portfolio of top donors and prospects.
