  • Optimize designs by taking advantage of various additional software packages available for CAD modeling, stress analysis, tolerance stack-up, etc. while developing component/assembly models considering expected manufacturing processes and their respective effect on each design.
  • Design assemblies and components which include gears/splines, environmental or EMI sealing, load paths, fasteners, springs, electronics integration, packaging, etc.
  • Work with the cross-functional integrated product team and customers to develop product solutions that meet both customer and internal requirements.
  • Demonstrate understanding of various aerospace grade materials and associated properties, as well as various post-processes typically used on various materials in the aerospace industry for wear resistance, corrosion protection, surface/sub-surface material defect detection, insulation, etc.
  • Communicate with a variety of internal and external customers, sharing information with the team, and articulating technical information for a variety of audiences.
